Mural

In 1984 I created a 6’x 90’ mural of a carousel ride, designed for display on a circular wall, in which children and horses represent the carefree joys of childhood.  However, in the final panels of the mural, the ride is suddenly disrupted by the white flash of a nuclear explosion.  The work was intended to stir the viewers’ awareness of the fragile balance between life and death on this planet.
